NEC（日本電氣）D3142 硬碟生產於 1989年，這個硬碟機（Hard Disk Drive）應該是使用在日本 NEC PC-9801 電腦內，因為磁軌壞了，所以棄置，但一直沒有處理，到現在才有時間拆解。

NEC D3142 45MB 3.5吋硬碟（HDD / Hard Disk Drive）外殼是標準的 5.25吋軟磁盤的大小尺寸，尺寸是 208 mm × 146mm × 42mm，重量是 951g，但除去外框後，硬碟的實際尺寸是 146mm × 101.6mm × 41mm，重量是 719g，使用 ST412 34-Pin 和 20-Pin 接口，4 Pin 電源接口。
